The moment we stepped forward, the once relentless clamor of the paparazzi fell into an eerie silence, as if the world itself held its breath. Together, we moved through the throng, entering the venue, where the air seemed charged with anticipation.
AYUSHMAN'S P.O.V
I could see Arohi was holding it together-until that one question pierced the air, "How does it feel to be the replaced bride?" The venom behind those words was enough to send a wave of fury through me.
How could they be so cruel, so callous? The injustice of it made my blood boil, and in that moment, I couldn't stand it any longer. I can't bear her insult. Her pride is our pride too. I can't see her like this.
Without thinking, I stepped forward, my hand instinctively wrapping around Arohi's waist, and in a voice that rang through the tense silence, I declared.
"She is Arohi... Arohi Ayushman Suryavanshi."
I never imagined I would bind my name to hers like that, but in that instant, something inside me snapped, and the words just poured out.
I could feel the weight of every shocked stare, the whispers slicing through the room, and then I looked down to see my little kitten, her wide eyes staring up at me, as if she, too, was trying to make sense of it.
Without another word, we walked into the venue, leaving behind the unanswered questions. Because deep down, I knew that declaration was the only answer that truly mattered.
I noticed my Mother and Father was smiling at me and I understood that
they were feeling proud of me. They always wanted me to respect women and I did that I protected Arohi from the insult.
AROHI'S P.O.V
I stood there, completely stunned, as his words echoed in my mind. Ayushman Suryavanshi-the same man who had once told me to expect nothing from him-was now binding his name to mine?
It was too much for my mind to comprehend, and all I could do was stare at him, my eyes wide in disbelief, like a deer caught in the headlights. My heart raced, struggling to make sense of this sudden shift.
Yet, as we stepped into the venue, the overwhelming grandeur took over. The space was lavishly decorated, shimmering with elegance, and a colossal stage loomed ahead, drawing all eyes toward it. It felt like stepping into a dream-one that I wasn't sure I was ready to wake up from.
As the evening unfolded, our esteemed guests began to arrive, and we extended warm welcomes. But one client's remark left me momentarily breathless.
"You two are a powerhouse couple!" he exclaimed, his eyes locked on us with admiration. "Mr. Suryavanshi, you're truly blessed to have such a stunning wife by your side."
I felt a flush rise to my cheeks as I smiled big to the clientย but before I could respond, he pinched me on my waist. I turned to him, my eyes meeting his piercing gaze, and was taken aback by the unmistakable glint of mischief dancing in their depths.
As our eyes locked, I felt my cheeks ignite with a fierce blush. My Greek God husband's gaze was mesmerizing, and I was helpless to look away. Suddenly, he bridged the gap between us, his warm breath caressing my skin as he whispered.
"Don't smile too much, little kitten. Remember, you're my wife, and only I get to see that blushing smile of yours."
His words sent shivers down my spine, and before I could respond, he teasingly squeezed my waist again.
I gulped, my nod barely perceptible as I struggled to process the tumultuous emotions swirling within me. The sensations coursing through my body were uncharted territory, and I felt like I was drowning in a sea of desire.
My skin was ablaze, my heart racing with anticipation, as I realized that I was completely, utterly his. Though he doesn't accept me as his wife but still.
As the evening wore on, I mingled with the other guests, but my attention kept drifting back to him. I couldn't shake the feeling that his eyes were constantly on me, boring into my soul.
Why was he watching me so intently? I wondered, my mind racing with possibilities. And yet, despite my attempts to brush off the sensation, I couldn't deny the thrill that ran through me whenever our gazes met.
Just as I was starting to feel like I was drowning in the depths of his eyes, I spotted two familiar figures navigating the crowd.
My heart skipped a beat as I realized it was my parents. My mother rushed forward, enveloping me in a warm hug.
"Aru, beta, how are you?" she asked, her voice filled with concern.
"I'm fine, Mom," I replied, trying to sound casual despite the turmoil brewing inside me. "How are you?"
"We're fine too," she said, smiling. But before we could continue the conversation, my father intervened, his expression serious.
He grasped my hand firmly and drew me aside, his eyes locked on mine with an unnerving intensity.
I widened my eyes, bracing myself for the worst. My father's voice dropped to a menacing whisper. "What did you tell Ayushman about me?" His words hung in the air like a challenge, and I could feel my heart racing with trepidation.
As I frantically scanned the sea of strangers, my heart racing with every passing moment, I searched for that one familiar face in the crowd - the one person who had always been my safe haven, my guardian angel.
But as fear threatened to consume me, I squeezed my eyes shut, bracing for the worst. And then, suddenly...
A low, husky voice whispered in my ear, sending shivers down my spine.
"Are you finding me, wife?"
Before he could unleash his wrath, a strong arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me close. "Oh, you guys are here," Ayushman said, his voice low and smooth, a subtle warning to my father.
I opened my eyes to find my savior, my protector, standing tall beside me. My father's voice faltered, his words tumbling out in a stammering rush. "Y-yes... we were just talking."
Ayushman's piercing gaze narrowed, his eyes flashing with a hint of skepticism. I silently implored him, Please don't believe him, please don't leave me with them.
But Ayushman's response was nothing short of magnificent. "I've missed my wife," he declared, his voice dripping with possessiveness, "and the coronation is about to begin. I need to take her with me."
He paused, his eyes glinting with a hint of steel. "After all, she's now Arohi Rajput Suryavanshi Advik."
The room seemed to shrink, the air thickening with tension as Ayushman's words dropped like a gauntlet.
My father's face paled, his mouth snapping shut in stunned silence. With a triumphant smile, Ayushman swept me away, leaving my parents in our wake.
As I exhaled slowly, I realized I'd been holding my breath for what felt like an eternity. My gaze drifted to Ayushman, his expression a mask of neutrality. The coronation ceremony began, and Ayushman was summoned to the stage.
Papa, Ayushman's father, took the microphone, his voice booming through the hall. "It's time to crown our new Mafia world king, Ayushman!" The room erupted into applause as Ayushman stood up, his eyes locked on the crown.
But just as he was about to take his place, Papa dropped a bombshell. "There's a twist," he announced, a sly smile spreading across his face. "I want my daughter-in-law, Arohi, to crown our new king."
My eyes widened in shock, my mind reeling with the implications. "What?" I stammered, my voice barely audible. "Me?" I turned to Papa, incredulous. "But you were the king..."
Papa chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "So what? I want my daughter-in-law to have this honor. After all, there's always a woman behind the success of a man."
I couldn't believe his words, my heart racing with excitement and trepidation. I glanced at Ayushman, expecting him to be displeased, but to my surprise, he was beaming with pride, his eyes shining with approval.
With trembling hands, I stepped forward, the weight of the moment settling upon me. I took the crown, its gemstones glinting in the light, and placed it upon Ayushman's head.
My voice was barely above a whisper as I chanted, "God bless you, may you achieve all your dreams, and be the greatest king our subjects have ever known. May you live long, and may your health and prosperity flourish."
Ayushman also said to himself, "I'll try my best to be the greatest king and help and support others most importantly I'll protect my family... And Arohi at any cost... No hurt no sadness can touch them....."
As soon as the crown touched his head, Ayushman's eyes locked onto mine, and he grasped my hand, his touch sending shivers down my spine. The crowd erupted into cheers, their applause thundering through the hall like a joyous storm.
Ayushman's warm breath caressed my ear as he whispered, "You're now a queen too, lil kitten." I turned to him, my heart skipping a beat, and smiled. A queen? The reality still felt like a dream, a fantasy I couldn't quite grasp.
I searched Ayushman's eyes, seeking answers. "Why didn't you say anything when Baba announced that I'd be the one to crown you? I'm just a ran--" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Ayushman's gaze locked onto mine, his eyes burning with an intensity that made my heart skip a beat. "Why would I object?" he asked, his voice low and husky.
"You're not just anyone or random, Arohi. You're family, my friend....and my....' *stops*
As he spoke, his fingers grazed my lips, sending shivers down my spine. His eyes held mine, the connection between us crackling with an unspoken emotion.
It was as if time itself had stopped, leaving only the two of us, suspended in a moment of raw, unbridled feeling.
The air was alive with tension, the silence between us pulsating with an energy that was both exhilarating and terrifying.
I felt like I was drowning in the depths of Ayushman's eyes, unable to look away, unable to breathe.
As we descended from the stage, we were immediately swept up in a whirlwind of congratulations and well-wishes. Aryaan and Sakshi, the chaotic yet lovable duo, were the first to greet us. Sakshi enveloped me in a warm hug, while Ayushman exchanged a hearty handshake with her.
Aryaan, ever the drama king, flung his arms wide, proclaiming, "Oh, my Ayu baby!!!! You have grown so much and become a king now! You're a big boy now, so majestic!" Ayushman rolled his eyes good-naturedly, chuckling, "Stop it, Aryaan, you're as dramatic as ever."
Aryaan grinned mischievously, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "You can't call me that, only Ms. Akhru has the privilege." He wrapped his arm around Sakshi's waist, pulling her close, and she blushed becomingly.
All of them laughed. Arohi whispered to Sakshi, "Oh Ms. Akhru.. nice nice give me all the deeds miss" Arohi winks. Sakshi becomes flustered.
With a flamboyant flourish, Aryaan declared, "We'll leave you two to bask in your royal glory. Ta-ta for now, Your Majesties!" And with that, the dynamic duo made their exit, leaving us to revel in the magic of our newfound status.
SAKSHI'S P.O.V
As he dragged me to a not so crowded spot, I struggled against his grasp, snapping, "Why are you pulling me?and why did you bring me here?" Aryaan's response was laced with a hint of amusement, "To spend some time alone"
My breathe hitched. What is he saying. I was drowning in my thoughts suddenly he said,"Because you're rooted to the spot, Sakshi! Do you really want to ruin their evening?"
His words struck a chord, and I felt a surge of embarrassment wash over me. I was indeed the awkward third wheel, the proverbial "kabab main haddi"
As I gazed downward, my cheeks burning with mortification, I felt the gentle touch of soft hands cradling my face. I lifted my eyes to meet the intense gaze of two pairs of eyes, their scrutiny making my heart skip a beat.
The air was heavy with anticipation as Aryaan's voice whispered sweet nothings in my ear, "You're breathtakingly beautiful, Sakshi... absolutely stunning."
My cheeks ignited into a fiery blush, as crimson as a ripe tomato, and Aryaan's chuckle sent shivers down my spine.
I replied "Besharm!!"and runs away from there. Why my heartbeat like this in front of him? Why?? Is this really? No no I'm thinking too much
The evening wore on, and everything seemed perfect until Ayushman's phone rang, shattering the tranquility. His expression darkened, and his demeanor changed in an instant. With a sense of urgency, he instructed us to head home, his voice low and serious.
"I need to attend to something," he said, his eyes locked on some unseen point. "Aryaan, let's go."
Without another word, Ayushman and Aryaan bhaiya disappeared into the night, leaving us to wonder what had triggered such a sudden and mysterious departure.
AYUSHMAN'S P.O.V
My phone rang, shrill and insistent, shattering the calm. One of my workers was on the line, his voice trembling with urgency. "Sir, it's chaos at the office! Rival team members have stormed in, holding everyone at gunpoint!"
I sprang into action, my mind racing with worst-case scenarios. Aryaan by my side, we sped to the office, ready to face whatever lay ahead. But as we arrived, a sense of unease settled in - everything seemed eerily normal.
That's when I saw him, a lone figure emerging from the shadows, a glint of steel in his hand. He lunged at me with a snarl, but I was quicker, grabbing him just in time. A fierce struggle ensued, but I managed to overpower him.
We dragged him to the basement, the sound of scuffling feet echoing off the walls. Ropes bound him tight, and I loomed over him, my eyes blazing with fury. "Who sent you?" I demanded, my voice low and menacing.
WARNING!! HARMFUL EVENTS ARE THERE!!!
His response was a maniacal laugh, his eyes glinting with a sinister light. I signaled to my men, and they moved with ruthless efficiency. Acid seared into his hands and legs, and his screams echoed through the basement, a chilling sound that sent shivers down my spine.
Salt was poured into his wounds, and his cries grew louder, more anguished. Yet still, he refused to yield. I leaned in, my face inches from his, my voice dripping with venom. "One last time - who sent you, and why did you lie about the attack on my company?"
His smile grew wider, a cold, calculated glint in his eye. "It was all a lie," he sneered, his voice dripping with malice. "We didn't attack your office, Suryavanshi... we attacked your home."
My blood ran cold as his words hung in the air like a death sentence. My eyes widened in horror, my mind racing with the unthinkable: Mom, Dad, Arohi... all in harm's way. A shiver coursed down my spine as I envisioned the worst.
Without hesitation, I barked orders at my men, dispatching them to my house to protect my family. The wait was agonizing, each passing minute an eternity.
Finally, after what felt like an interminable hour, my phone rang. My men were on the line, their voices reassuring. "All is under control, sir."
I exhaled a sigh of relief, a cold smile spreading across my face. I turned to Aryaan, my eyes glinting with triumph. "They thought they could harm the Ayushman Suryavanshi?" I sneered, my voice dripping with disdain. "Such delusional fools."
Aryaan nodded in agreement, but his expression remained uneasy. "Yeah, bro, they're idiots... but I still think something's off. Like what's their advantage here after faking this attack news. And why did they attack your home?
I waved my hand dismissively. "Everything's fine, Aryaan. Just relax."
But before I could even finish my sentence, my phone shrilled to life once more. My heart skipped a beat as I saw my mom's name flashing on the screen. I answered, expecting to hear Arohi's voice on the other end, but instead, it was my mom's weak whisper.
"Ayushman... beta..."
My heart plummeted, my grip on the phone tightening. "Mom? Mom, what's wrong?"
But there was only silence.
And then, a single, chilling word and my phone dropped on the floor.
